Correspondence received

We get more mail than people assume for an organization of four. A selection, lightly edited and published with permission.

From a resident near the Freedom Parkway crossing. “I have read your visual simulations and I am not reassured. You have photographed my street from the one angle where a tower does not appear.” He is right. We have added two vantage points at his suggestion and one of them is unflattering, which is the point of having it.

From a teacher at a middle school on the Southside. Her seventh graders designed their own alignments as a geometry unit and she has sent us fourteen of them. Three are better than our first attempt. One puts a station on the roof of a Kroger, which we have looked into and which is not obviously wrong.

From a member organization, asking why the Coalition writes so much about a document box from 1927 when the program is stalled in 2026. A fair question. The answer is that the two are not related and it is our job to keep them separate.

And one we cannot account for. A single typed sheet, no signature, no return address, postmarked in Atlanta. It lists four of our eleven letters by date, with no comment, and at the bottom the words “you have the wrong list.” We have checked our correspondence page against our files twice. The list is correct.
